The shows in Detroit were fun, if not a bit grueling. We had to setup, perform and tear down our show twice in one day. The kids were remarkably well behaved and really got into our performance. Bob, the guy who plays Professor Emeritus McMannus McGrew, was very good at getting the kids involved. He had them reading along, shouting and making weird noises during Mr. Brown Can Moo. I had a lot of fun also. My character doesn't talk so I do everything silently or with screen visuals. During the show, I run the tech and egg on bob with on-screen taunts and insults. After the show one little girl came up to me and said, "Thing 3, you are a trouble maker." I guess I did my job. I also worked the crowd during the pre-show as the kids came in the auditorium. The Special Ed kids loved me! Heh.
Below is a picture of me taken at the show and superimposed on a background we use for promotional material. This is not for the weak.
