Just got back from Philadelphia. Here are the highlights:
Stayed at the Sheraton at Rittenhouse Square - wonderful neighborhood.
The people in Philly are just plain nice.
The Ben Franklin Institute rules! The only better Science Museum is in Chicago.
Security at the Liberty Bell was intense - had to pass metal detectors and x-ray machines. Just to see a cracked bell!
Betsy Ross lived in a very cramped house.
People throw pennies on Ben Franklin's Grave for luck and nobody really knows why.
Strange people do Tai Chi in the graveyard where Franklin was buried.
Ate Pizza from Lombardi's, supposedly one of the best pizzerias in the world, and was non-plussed.
Discovered I like Cheesesteak Sandwiches.
I told Jason that the Rodin museum is where they keep all the giant monsters. He can't spell well enough to call me on it.
I gave a buck to a toothless man who was standing in fron of McDonalds holding a cup.
Dylan got to witness a man with tourettes, walking down the street, shouting profanities at imaginary people.
They actually make a talking George W. Bush Action Figure.
The multi-media presentation at the National Constitution Center actually made me choke with emotion.

It's actually hard coming home to a bland city like Akron.
