Sunday I DJed at a party for a priest's 30th anniversary of his ordination. (Father Robert Cole, pastor of St. Marys of the Falls, Olmstead Falls) It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I played almost exclusively music that was big in 1972. Sure there was a lot of crap, but there was Bowie, Mott the Hoople, T-Rex, James Brown and the ever-popular Jimmy Castor Bunch. (Anyone remember Troglodyte?) I didn't sneak in any Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath.... ah well. Played a little goofy stuff for the kids (Hokey Pokey et all), play some mellow crap during the dinner (Cat Stevens, John Lennon) and rocked out when I felt like it. All in all, not bad. Weird, but not bad. Father Cole said I could DJ his 60th anniversary.
