I spent the day at the Museum of Science and Industry. A very happy childhood memory and I am glad to say it has not changed much. Oh, the exhibits are new, or have a fresh coat of paint, but the vibe is exactly the same. And that is what I am grooving on these days, vibe.
There was a NASCAR simulator in Petroleum World. Guess who that reminded me of? There were tons of robots and automatons. Guess who that reminded me of? There were also a lot of annoying people who needed to get out of my way or die! Guess who that reminded me of?
The OMNIMAX is an exact twin of the one at the Great Lakes Science Center, so no thrill there. But the Space Station movie was breathtaking.
The only downer was that Jason was too young for most of the stuff there. He found a few things that excited him, but all in all it was a yawner for him. Dylan, on the other hand, was in his element. Takes after his dad all right.
Grandma still hanging on. My dad and brother are there with her. My other brothers and sisters are on standby. I am fleeing the future by embracing the past.
