I think I need to develop a new personal philosophy of life. I am comfortable enough with my cosmological beliefs. But they are on a scale that is too big to apply to daily living. I am a firm believer that we should treat each other nicely and kindly, but I don't know why I believe that. Is there any objective eveidence?. I know all about recipricol altruism and bilogical determinism, but that just shoves it back to the realm of the subjective. And I don't buy Descartes whole premise that from a melting piece of wax we can determine that there is a god and that he is good. I just think you have melted wax. But then again, I am a staunch empiricist. I am back to my familiar retreat; I know nothing.
