Note to Self: Things not to do!

I am really sore and it all started Tuesday when my Tae Kwon Do master (Master Wally!) decided it was time to do somersault lessons! Imagine me running at a mat and falling head first and rolling on my shoulders. I was doing OK until he had someone crouch on their hands and knees at the edge of the mat and we had to dive over this person and land in a roll. I, of course, landed on my hip and really hurt it. I limped through Wednesday, but was feeling OK Thursday. Thursday night we did a lot of side kicks and forms that required deep crouches. Owwww. That smarted. I must have compensated for my weak hip by using a lot of thigh muscle because those are sore this morning.

The good news is that as I lose weight and stretch out, I am able to kick higher and higher. I can kick about chest height and am working on head height.

Dylan, of course, can kick to the ceiling. Youth is wasted on the young!

Now that Jason is an orange belt, he does full contact sparring. It is great to watch him. I think he will be as good as his older brother some day.
