Thai Food - Yay!

Last night kreidler and I had Thai food at the Lemon Grass and then saw Namesake at the Cedar Lee. I am happy to report that Tai Mango Curry with Chicken does not raise my blood sugar. Of course I skipped the rice. I was a happy 71 this morning.

The Namesake was a charming and poignant film about a Bengali couple that comes to America and starts a family. The Namesake refers to the oldest son who is named Golgol after the crazy Russian author, Nikolai Golgol. I won't give anything away, but I did come home and start reading Golgol's The Overcoat. There were no explosions, CGI, evil villains or car chases. Just plain, old-fashioned human drama and it was wonderful.
