Halloween at the Render Estate

Decoration didn't go as planned this year. I felt quite ill in the afternoon and wasn't up to the elaborate set I had designed. I had all the makings of a skeleton band. I had four skeletons, drums, guitars and keys all under a truss of intelligent lights. Didn't happen. I ended up putting up three giant inflatables, two scanner lights and a fog machine. I draped a few skeletons and put up a fire light. Bummer. The fog would drift through the neighborhood - which was really cool!

kreidler gave out peanut bars and cheese crackers, much to the embarassment of the kids. I thought it was a cool idea. I mean, how many of those Tootsie Roll Midgees can you eat? Actually, quite a lot. But my point is that every house gives away the same assortment of "fun-sized" candy (What's fun about less candy?) and it's nice to break it up. We used to have a neighbor who gave away bowties. Go figure.

Well another year in the bag. Now it's time to plan for 2006.
